Personal

Here is great video reminder to take the dollar sign off your prospect’s forehead and give before you receive.  Providing value first (real value) and a lot of it, will reward you handsomely. Many forget that and look for the quick sale.

I know we all have to eat but if the foundation is laid and during every encounter you ask yourself “How can I provide value in this person’s life ?”  value will come back tenfold.  Thanks David Frey.

Needing break from marketing, and dealing w/ unruly neighbors that decided to have an outdoor Monday Night Futbol party that woke my daughter up twice (unfortunately had to call 5.0 since they don’t deal w/ reason) I was digging some pictures and came across this excellent shot of an airborne grand prix driver/ car in Singapore during recent training run.  Thought you’d enjoy it.  Others dugg it as well.

Check out how cool blogging is. I used the tags windsurfing, avoid burnout, marketing, etc on last post when I rigged up to windsurf in remnants of trop storm Hanna. I logged into my dashboard and there is a great tool called Tag Surfing. The windsurfing tag picked up a killer video of some fantastic footage of sailing in Furteventura in the Canary Islands.

We stopped there before crossing the pond on my transatlantic sailling trip from France to the Caribbean last year. Ironic or what. some of the best windsurfing in the world. I had to post this since it’s the least I could do for crappy video upload, then breaking my rig w/ nothing to show. Enjoy, these guys are incredible.

I took a break from setting up blogs to do some windsurfing after trop storm hanna passed through.  At least I thought it was a break.  Will work on video quality.  not sure why the conversion to flash sucked. Will try again now and upload just wanted to get this up.  As usual, a lot of learning curves.

Quick note. Tropical Storm is headed our way but we’re only expecting 2″ of rain and “some” gusts to 40mph.

Looks like great windsurfing weather. I only have one 6.0m sail and it’s good up to about 20-25kts so I may take it out for a spin. You don’t usually get good winds like this in summer.  If I get out there I’ll take some video and put it up.

Rich Schefren talks about “miller time” and making sure you set aside some down time to avoid burn out. I fully embrace it.  I have about 2-4 hrs before the winds pick up and it’s now a goal to finish setting up blogs, finalizing training website layout, start email campaign, Craigslist ads posted, some boring paperwork, then windsurf and chill for the afternoon. Will probably be back at it again late this afternoon until we get training site up and running.

Make sure you set aside time to decompress after a project or long stretch of work.  You will be 10x more productive when you return.

Until next time….
